A little progress on this today – I’ve started going down a path that I think will be promising, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be printing this sometime in the near future. I added a little detail – but mostly the “light” shining down. No, it’s not aliens whisking the camper away to another galaxy – but I thought a light (post or lamp to be added shortly) would ground the image a bit and give it some context. Now, it’s not just a floating camper – it’s a camper in the pitch black of a desert highway (or French’s Construction Nightshift Blue in this case), a lonesome camp ground or abandoned in the deep woods. It also gives me a GREAT excuse to use some glow in the dark ink I’ve been itching to use. Other considerations – still need to add a lamp or light post (the final will be 12.5 x 19 inches tall) so I have some room to grow the page up. Also I may add some more texture to the “ground” where the light falls – just to give it a bit more interest. Lastly – still a bit of detail I would like to add to the camper itself – maybe lights and some other fun details, but not too much as to junk it up. Check back for updates soon!
