I finished this a couple of weeks ago, but hadn’t had time to update the blog for some time. Overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out – I would have ultimately liked to use the glow in the dark ink, but the yellow popped so much I had to use it. Unfortunately, the silver doesn’t display well in pictures, but it really shines on the dark blue paper! Head over to the shop and look at a couple of the detailed shots. The final size on this one is 12.5 x 19 inches.
HumanShapedRobot now has a blog – SpareRobotParts. In an attempt to be more connected between print releases – this blog will feature general site news, print info, process threads and sneak peaks on new posters and random inspiration from around the internet tubes. I’ll also be posting work that is indefinitely incomplete, in hopes that it will some day be finished. I ran across Let’s Swap on Notcot.com a few weeks back, and I’ve got to say it’s a great idea. I’ve swapped prints a few times on my own – but it’s mostly something that comes up after striking up an e-mail conversation with an artist I admire… Let’s Swap takes the awkwardness of starting up a conversation with a complete stranger, and becomes a middle man of sorts.
