Pleased as punch to have my Beirut poster selected for Print Magazine’s 2012 Regional Design Annual – representing the Dirty South! Pick one up, lots of great work featured – or better yet, grab a Beirut print for yourself from Human Shaped Robot! In other news as I have relocated it most likely will be a couple of months until I’m up and printing again. I will still be shipping existing prints so plan ahead and get your holiday orders in soon.
I just wrapped up printing some cards – just need to have them cut and they’ll be on the site for purchase. The cards will be available on French Blue Raspberry paper with red ink and Construction Factory Green with orange ink. They’ll be sold in packs of six with matching envelopes. Check back soon for more details and images of the new cards!
Very happy to have some nice posts on OMGposters.com and Notcot.org last week for my recent Songbird prints. I’m hoping to take some time over the holidays to work on some new stuff so keep an eye out in the new year!
Very happy to hear today that I was featured in AIGA Charlotte’s holiday gift guide. Check out the link for some great local artists and their merch!
From AIGA:
AIGA Charlotte wants to help support local designers. One way you can do that in the month of December is buying your holiday gifts directly from designers. We’ve compiled a holiday gift guide with some of our favorite prints, shirts, jewelry, and books produced by designers who call Charlotte their home.
I’m very excited and humbled to have a page featuring my Uncle Franks print in Caspar Williamson’s new book – The Little Book of Screenprinting. The book features works from screenprint artists from around the globe – a short history of the printing and the process. It’s a really great little book if I do say so myself and I’m honored to be mentioned among the very talented group of artists. Pick one up at Amazon or your local book seller today!
It’s been entirely too long since I’ve had any updates or new art prints. I’ve tried to capture some of the updates over the past couple months below. I was lucky to have a little time over the Thanksgiving holiday to work on an art print as well – I hope to have up on the site in a week or so. There will be two versions – a red & metallic blue bird – one on French Madero Beach, the other on French Starch Rain. Keep an eye out for them soon, I’ll try to keep up with the updates!
I’m always still amazed to hear from people in other countries that have run across my site one way or another. A month or so back was delighted to hear about this post from flatmaids.de that the Dapper Mans Guide was featured in. Take a gander at the beard and mustache guide from across the pond at http://www.flatmaids.de/state-of-the-bart

Graphic design robot by day, screen print robot by night - HumanShapedRobot was created as a home for prints I do in my free time. More recently the SpareRobotParts Blog was created to stay more up-to-date with print news, process threads, showcase unfinished projects and random inspiration from around the interwebs.
