Got this awesome postcard and note in the mail today from fellow designer, illustrator and beard enthusiast Michael Buchino. Check out some of his work here.
I’m super excited and honored to be featured on FPO today! A self promo piece I sent out earlier this year for my day job, take a look to see what the robot looks like – illustrated at least… Take a look here!
This is where the magic happens, and also where I do my prints… A quick panoramic tour of my state of the art, garage studio – otherwise known as the hotbox when it’s not winter. My DIY “letterpress” on the left, homemade vacuum table, various printing paraphernalia and then the shipping department towards the right. Behind me, not shown is a whole mess of screens, some chemicals and a line to hang dry prints.
I often get asked about framing prints – and where to find frames for the sometimes “odd” sizes of prints sold on the site. First, I’d quickly like to explain why some prints are the size they are, then give you a little advise from my experience framing prints. Please note – I’m no expert by any means – so consult your nearest framing expert before you do this on any super fancy prints (or give me a shout and I’ll do my best to help!). Read More
I usually pop cards into tubes or handout to anyone I might want to check out my site. I wanted to share a way that I’ve used to make “business cards” quick, but most importantly on the cheap. I use a custom rubber stamp, and time cards that I cut by hand. (Everyone get out your X-acto’s!) Read More

Graphic design robot by day, screen print robot by night - HumanShapedRobot was created as a home for prints I do in my free time. More recently the SpareRobotParts Blog was created to stay more up-to-date with print news, process threads, showcase unfinished projects and random inspiration from around the interwebs.
